Is tingling normal after applying Magnesium Oil?

Yes, a tingling sensation can happen - it's completely normal, though not something we hear often with our brand. Some people may feel it initially, but after regular use over a couple of weeks, it usually disappears. As with any topical product, some skin types are more sensitive than others. In rare cases, you may notice slight redness or irritation - if that happens, simply dilute the Magnesium Oil 50/50 with warm distilled water or discontinue use. For children under 5, we recommend our Magnesium Butter instead, as it’s much gentler on their delicate skin.

What is the expiry of your Magnesium Butters?

12 months after opening the jar.

What is the expiry on your Magnesium Oil?

24 months after opening the bottle.

Which is best for me; Magnesium Butter or Magnesium Oil?

Our Magnesium Butter is perfect for massage and makes a beautiful addition to your evening wind-down ritual. The Magnesium Oil, on the other hand, is a concentrated brine that absorbs quickly when sprayed directly onto the skin — ideal for a fast and refreshing boost during the day. Both deliver the same powerful benefits — it simply comes down to personal preference and how you like to use it.

How long will the Oil last?

With daily use a 100ml bottle will last around 3 - 6 months and the 200ml bottle around 6 - 12 months.

How long will the Magnesium Butter last?

For light daily use a 65g jar around 3-6 months and 120g jar around 6-12 months. Heavy users will go through much more quickly.

Are your Magnesium products suitable for kids?

For little ones, we generally recommend our Magnesium Butter over the Oil, as it’s gentler on sensitive skin. Many parents find it helpful for easing restlessness and supporting more restful sleep - even babies love a little butter massaged into their feet at night. It’s also a soothing go-to for growing pains. As children grow (around 5–10 years), they might prefer the ease of our Magnesium Oil spray. It’s more concentrated, but you can always dilute it with water to suit their needs.
